This was a short New Year's Day hike from Canyon Lake along La Barge Creek in the Superstition Wilderness. Since Canyon Lake was drawn down about 50 feet for maintenance on the dams, we were able to start hiking right up the stream bed which is normally under several feet of water.

Since the creek spanned out to the canyon walls here and we didn't feel like wading we made this our turn around point.	Back overlooking Canyon Lake which was drawn down about 50 feet over several months for maintenance work on dams.
